Ball Valve installation and maintenance

1. The Ball Valve or pipe fitting flange cover cannot be disassembled at will. Unless it is prepared to be connected to the pipeline, the PTFE flange surface may be bumped, scratched or distorted due to temperature difference and foreign matter, affecting the sealing. For example, due to inspection needs When moving the cover, the cover must be reset immediately after inspection to protect the PTFE flange surface.
2. When fluoroplastic or plastic-lined Universal Valve and pipe fittings are connected to pipelines, gaskets are generally not used alone. However, when they are connected to flange surfaces of dissimilar materials (metal surfaces, etc.), appropriate gaskets should be used to protect them. PTFE flange surface
3. If the product leaks at a high temperature while the system is in use, the system temperature should be lowered to room temperature first, and then the cause should be identified and repaired.
4. No high-temperature welding work is allowed on the Ball Valve and pipe fittings to avoid permanent damage to the lining layer.
5. During installation, the flange nuts should be tightened evenly and diagonally (symmetrically) with appropriate torque:
(1) Leakage occurs on the flange sealing surface, and the nut at the leakage location has been locked. At this time, the nut at the leakage location should be loosened half a turn, and the same torque should be applied to the opposite side to tighten it again.
(2) If the leakage is not stopped by the above measures, check whether there are uneven indentations or scratches on the PTFE flange surface. At that time, fine gauze paper or cloth can be used to level it and reconnect it.
6. Universal Valve and pipe fittings should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and stacking is strictly prohibited.
7. The sealing pair of a Ball Valve stored for a long time should be in a slightly open and separated state to avoid permanent deformation of the seal under long-term pressure, which will affect the sealing performance and service life.
8. When operating the Ball Valve manually, it is not allowed to use other levers to force open or close the Ball Valve.
9. When installing a Ball Valve with directional requirements, pay attention to the flow direction of the medium as shown by the arrow on the valve body, and ensure easy operation and maintenance.
10. The repaired Ball Valve must be tested according to relevant standards before being installed.
