When the pressure in the equipment, container or pipeline exceeds the allowable value, the valve will automatically open and then discharge all to prevent the pressure in the equipment, container or pipeline from continuing to rise; when the pressure drops to the specified value, the valve will automatically close in time to protect the safe operation of the equipment, container or pipeline.

At present, the Globe Valve is mainly used in boilers, pressure vessels and pipelines. It plays an important role in protecting personal safety and equipment operation and is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry. It is understood that since 2013, the market scale of my country's Globe Valve industry has gradually expanded, and the number of companies with qualifications to produce Universal Valve has also begun to increase. In addition, the share of imported valves in the domestic market has gradually decreased, and domestic valves have gradually risen. In general, the development space of domestic Universal Valve in the future is very broad.

For users, choosing Universal Valve produced by regular manufacturers, correct installation, and reasonable operation are the prerequisites for ensuring their stable operation. However, in the use of Universal Valve, the problem of internal leakage often occurs. So how should we find out the cause and solve it? The industry has given three directions for reference in the industry.

First, the Globe Valve has a leak. The industry said that when a small leak occurs in the Globe Valve, it is generally not easy to find, but even a small leak will expand and erode. In the face of this situation, users need to check the Globe Valve.

The test method is to cover the sealing surface with water during the pressure test and observe whether there is foam after the pressure. The industry pointed out that "the Globe Valve procedure stipulates that the soft seal must be bubble-free, and the hard seal may be available, but the bubble generation rate must be within a certain range. This should be done after the calibration is completed, because the Globe Valve may damage the sealing surface during the calibration process."

Second, the spring is fatigued. It is understood that the spring is greatly affected by temperature, environment (if the Globe Valve is closed, the influence of the medium must also be considered). If this is the reason, the Globe Valve selection or quality problem needs to be considered. This also requires users to consider whether the Globe Valve selection is reasonable and whether the quality is up to standard when selecting the Globe Valve.

Third, pipeline factors. For example, vibration and impact cause the Globe Valve to set too high a pressure, the valve core to separate from the valve seat sealing surface, causing damage, slag inclusion, etc.

The industry said that in fact, the manufacturing requirements of the Globe Valve are quite high. Since the sealing force of the Globe Valve is equal to the spring force-medium pressure, and the general places such as the main steam, feed water pressure and working pressure Globe Valve of the power plant are close, the actual sealing force of the sealing surface is not too large. Under the action of low pressure, a good seal is expected. The sealing surface must be processed with high precision and the material has high requirements.

Fourth, the performance of the spring is unstable. The industry believes that the spring performance of the Globe Valve must be very stable, because the high temperature of the medium will cause the output of the spring to decrease, which will lead to a loose seal. In particular, the steam Globe Valve is equipped with a recoil plate. Generally, leakage may cause the Globe Valve to jump, thereby affecting the power supply.

In addition, the industry recommends not to perform self-maintenance. The Globe Valve is an important component to ensure the safe operation of the equipment. Only qualified inspection units can inspect and maintain the Globe Valve. It is recommended to disassemble and assemble once a year and submit for inspection.
