Main structural features and operation of Ball Valve

The Ball Valve adopts the design of fixed valve core (shaft-supported type) and movable sealing seat on the upper and lower valve stems. The job is more stable. It has automatic compensation function, large shearing force and self-cleaning function when rotating without gap between the two-way sealing valve seats. It is especially suitable for switching on and off imperial fibers, suspensions and viscous media with tiny solid particles. Ball Valve products can be widely used in automated control systems in industrial sectors such as papermaking, petrochemicals, chemicals, metallurgy, electric power, environmental protection, petroleum, and light industry.

1. Blockage and excretion:
The Ball Valve uses a spring-preloaded floating valve seat. Regardless of whether the valve is in a fully open or fully closed state, the valve seats on the upstream and downstream sides block the fluid, and the residue in the cavity of the valve body is discharged through the discharge valve.
When the valve is in a closed state (Figure 7), the valve seats on the upstream and downstream sides block the flow. The accumulated toughness in the cavity of the Ball Valve body can be discharged. The discharge device (Figure 8) has the following functions:
① Check the valve seat for leakage and damage beforehand;
② Reduce the pollution of the Ball Valve caused by medium replacement;
③Under working pressure, when the valve is fully open or fully closed, the stuffing box of the Valve Stem can be replaced.
2. Automatic pressure relief
When the temperature of the medium remaining in the valve body cavity rises and causes abnormal pressure rise, there is no need to pass through the safety valve, but the valve seat function alone can automatically relieve the pressure. This is very important to ensure the safety of the valve when transporting liquid media.
When the stagnant medium in the middle cavity of the Ball Valve experiences an abnormal pressure rise due to an increase in temperature, the valve seat will separate from the ball and automatically release pressure (Figure 9) or a safety valve installed on the valve body (Figure 10) will ensure system safety.

4. Fireproof structure
In the event of a fire or abnormal temperature rise that causes the Teflon pad to soften and burn. 5. Sealed emergency grease injection rescue
Due to unexpected failure of the valve seat seal caused by foreign matter in the medium or fire, the grease injection valve provides a quick connection with the grease gun to quickly and easily inject sealing grease into the valve seat sealing part to alleviate leakage.
6. Reliable stem sealing and low operating torque
In addition to the standard sealing ring, the packing gland is also equipped with an "O" type sealing ring. The double seal ensures the reliability of the valve stem sealing; the additional graphite packing and sealing grease injection reduce the valve stem leakage after a fire. Low. Stem plain bearings and thrust bearings make the valve easy to operate.
